it''s 830 am in new york city, and normally i'd be sleeping, but i went to bed early last night, and even i cant sleep for more than 10 or 11 hours. anyway, i havent blogged in a while cos i've been waiting to get my own laptop and then the internet connection in my hotel room screwed up. so now, all is well: i've got my own laptop and although the internet only works in my dad's room, it works nonetheless. my laptop looks as sturdy as a nuclear suitcase. like if you throw it against the wall, the wall will crack and the com will continue functioning as tho nothing has happened. and the screen is so wide, i think i'm gonna spend all my time watching movies online. not too great for my education. i love my laptop very much. now if only i could find a nice picture of gisele bundchen to put as my desktop.
speaking of gisele bundchen, my sis and i went to victoria's secret that day. i tell you that place is heaven on earth. it has the prettiest underwear on this planet. anyone who knows me will know i detest shopping unless its for jeans or underwear. i swear i was in heaven. tho i dint buy anything other than a nice bag, and something else which i wont mention here, it was so nice to just look around, test the perfumes, look at makeup etc etc.
walked to old navy the other day, still privately bemoaning the fact that since its winter, they dont sell my polo tees anymore. did however, find 40 bucks worth of stuff to buy. interesting conversation with cashier follows.
cashier: would you like to get an old navy discount card?
me: er, i dont live in new york, so it would be quite useless, thanks anyway.
cashier: where are you from?
me: singapore
cashier: ohhhhh! NI HOW MA???
me:(laughing) HOW.
cashier:*says something else in chinese*
me: er actually, i dont really speak mandarin, i only know a little bit.
i got 6 pairs of earrings at forever21 for SIX DOLLARS. and a very nice bra from H&M for 13 bucks. the only thing that is not cheap here is shoes.
havent been out the last 2 days cos it was cold. but i really wanna see central park zoo and rockerfeller centre soon. and the cousins are coming tmr. so hopefully, life becomes even more entertaining.
